AUGUST 2 TO SEPTEMBER 3 2008. Sales will be encouraged. All works chosen for this exhibition must be framed and ready to hang, and available for sale. 50% of the retail price goes to the artist, 50% goes to the gallery. Artists selected for this show will have their names on the postcard invites, press release, other promotional materials and the website. All artists selected will be responsible for delivery and return of their selected works.

Best Artist in Show will receive a solo show in 2009 and several works represented for sale on the crybaby art gallery website and other venues.

Juror: Pet Silvia - Curator, artist, and lecturer, "The Artist¹s Life" series. Open to all artists, age 18 and older in the US and internationally.

All media accepted in: Erotic Art, Nudes, Outsider, Lowbrow, Pop Surrealism, Underground, Alternative - all styles will be considered. There is a non-refundable fee of $25.00 per submission of 3 images.

This year you can enter the juried competition via email and pay the submission fee online!

How to submit via email:

Step 1 - Pay the submission fee via Paypal (see payment button below).
Step 2 - Attach images to email.
Step 3 - Attach Resume, Bio, (and completed Artist Submission Form if using Word doc).
Step 4 - Copy and paste your completed Juried Show Artist Submission form.
Step 5 - Send the email!

To enter the 2008 Juried Competition entirely digitally (Paypal + emailed entry), please follow these instructions:

Step 1 - Select your entry amount based on the number of images you're submitting and pay the amount stated by clicking the PayPal button below:
Select the number of images you're sending and pay this amount


After you have received your PayPal receipt via email, proceed to step 2.
Step 2 - Get your images ready to send via email as attachments - please send only jpgs, (800 x 600 px at 72dpi is best). Please be sure to use file extensions, example: myimage1.jpg. Make sure you send the same number of images reflected in your earlier Paypal payment.

Step 3 - Get your artist resume, and/or biography. You can either copy and paste it as text in the body of the email or attach a Word doc, or PDF doc. Make sure each document is labeled with your last name. If using the Word doc entry form, have that filled out completely and ready to attach as well. - Otherwise proceed to Step 4.
Step 4 - Copy and paste the Juried Show Artist Submission Form into a new email and fill out the information completely. (click here for form).

Step 5 - Click here to open a new email - this will be your formal submission.

Please Note: when sending several different file types, we suggest saving them in a folder as a compressed file using ZipIt or Stuffit.

After adding your attachments, copy and paste your PayPal Transaction ID number from your PayPal receipt into the body of the email. Include your name, and all other info specified above.


Now, send the email to us! We will send you confirmation within a few hours to acknowledge receipt of your entry. Thank You!
